Live controller test
Connect the controller first, then press any button. If the browser exposes it, the panel updates in real time.
Connect a compatible controller by USB or Bluetooth, press a button to wake it, then inspect live buttons, analog sticks, triggers and raw axes. The test uses the browser Gamepad API and does not upload your controller input.
Connect the controller first, then press any button. If the browser exposes it, the panel updates in real time.
A healthy controller should show each expected input consistently, return analog sticks near center when untouched, and move axes smoothly through their range. Small resting values can be normal and vary by controller. Persistent movement at rest may indicate stick drift or a deadzone/calibration issue.
Use repeatable conditions. One browser result is a diagnostic clue, not a complete hardware verdict.
Plug the controller in with USB or pair it in your operating system Bluetooth settings.
Keep this page focused and press any controller button once so the browser can expose the device.
Press the face buttons, D-pad and shoulder buttons, then move both sticks through their full range and squeeze the triggers.
Compare USB and Bluetooth, another port or browser, and the same input more than once before treating it as a hardware fault.
This is a browser-level diagnostic, not a firmware calibration tool. Controller mappings and haptic support vary by browser, operating system and device. Some controllers expose non-standard axes or buttons. A browser result can help isolate a problem, but it cannot prove end-to-end latency or every hardware fault.
Connect or pair it at the operating-system level first, keep this page focused, then press a physical controller button. If it still does not appear, try another browser, USB port, cable or connection mode.
It works with compatible controllers that your browser exposes through the Gamepad API. Support and button mapping vary by controller, browser and platform.
It can show live axis values and resting movement. Persistent off-center values are a useful clue, but calibration, deadzones, browser mapping and connection conditions can affect what you see.
No. The live values used by this tester are processed in the page. There is no NovaTools endpoint receiving your button or axis stream.
